Purchasing a Wicklund Guitar
Purchasing a handmade guitar online, without ever seeing, playing, or hearing it in person is not the ideal way of buying a new guitar. Since Wicklund Guitars are not currently distributed through any guitar shops, the only way to experience a Wicklund Guitar in person is to actually visit the shop at my home in Grantham, New Hampshire. If you are interested in one of the guitars and live in or near the Upper Valley area of New Hampshire, you can stop by for a visit to check out what is available, but please call first before making a trip. If you live within 100 miles of Grantham, NH, I would be willing to meet you half way with all of the guitars that are available for you to try. If this is an option for you, please call to schedule a time and place to meet. If either of these are options work for you, and you decide to purchase a guitar and to take immediate possession, acceptable payment is by cash or bank transfer only. I will also accept payment through Paypal, a direct payment through your bank, or a personal check. In those cases, once I get confirmation that the payment has cleared, I will notify you that you can pick the guitar up, or I can meet you halfway deliver it personally if you live within 100 miles of Grantham, NH.
If you decide to purchase a guitar online from the Wicklund Guitar website, please contact me via email through the Contact page and include a note indicating which guitar you would like and any preferences you may have on set-up. Or you can call direct at 802-498-4191 and we can discuss your purchase. Before a guitar leaves the shop the neck relief and action at the 1st and 12th fret is checked and adjusted, new strings are installed, and any adjustments are done that are needed based on your personal preferences. The guitar will ship for free via UPS ground. Once your payment has cleared, the guitar will ship within 3 business days. The guitar will be shipped in a specially padded box. This packaging helps assure that the guitar will arrive to you in the same condition it left the shop. Upon receipt of the guitar, you will have 5 days to decide if it meets your expectations in craftsmanship, appearance, playability, and most importantly, sound.
If for any reason after the trial period you decide that you do not want the guitar, all you need to do is to contact me. If you live within 100 miles of Grantham, I will schedule a time to meet you halfway and pickup the guitar personally. If the guitar was shipped to you, I will send you an email with a link for printing a pre-paid return label. Then just pack it up in the original shipping box like it was when it arrived, put on the return label, and call the shipper to have it picked up or drop it off at the nearest UPS store. Once the guitar is received and it is in the same condition as when it left the shop, you will be refunded the full purchase price less the cost of the return shipping. If there is any damage to the guitar while it was in your possession such as cracks, nicks, pick scratches, belt buckle scratches, etc., you will be contacted regarding the damages and estimated cost for restoring the guitar back to new condition. The restoration costs will be deducted from your refund.
